Watch 5 Days of War movie Free Online

So where to begin? For starters, the cinematography is the aspect that suffers the most under Wingard’s direction. The story, without much humour or lightheartedness, calls for something subtle and intimate. I’d qualify it as such, were it not for the excessive movement of the camera and focusing in and out of random objects at random timesWatch 5 Days of War Movie Online Instead of allowing the lens to focus on the personalities at play, which would’ve worked to force the audience into absorbing whatever painful emotions were being strewn about by the characters, the camera is constantly shifting and moving erratically, as if this was some sort of effect to tell us, “look how the camera shifts, how deep and excruciating!” No, Mr. Wingard, quite the opposite, in fact. I could go on and on about the misuse of camera angles but there’s much more review to write and, aw screw it. Let’s make a list:
Kevin approaches Sarah next to her car, conversation ensues while the camera, AS KEVIN IS SPEAKING, moves to the ceiling of the car, across to the side, down to her legs, unfocuses, then moves back to his head in time for him to finish whatever he was saying (I forgot because I was so drawn to wherever the hell the camera was going).    Watch 5 Days of War Movie Online
Sarah and Kevin are out on a date at a fancy Italian restaurant, and again, midsentence, the camera starts to swerve towards an assortment of random wine bottles for a good two minutes (exaggerating, but it felt like it). Again, I have absolutely no idea what the conversation was about during that time.

the latest from writer-director John Sayles (Lone Star, Matewan), takes place in 1900 during the American occupation of the Philippines, and it could almost be mistaken for a straight historical feature, if not for Sayles’ established political bent and the hard-bitten colonel played by Sayles favorite Chris Cooper. When Cooper puts a detachment of Americans in charge of a small Filipino baryo, he grumbles about his focus on “winning hearts and minds.” When he thinks a local has information he isn’t sharing, he subjects him to a waterboarding-like torture—then cheerfully proclaims it isn’t torture, since it doesn’t leave physical scars. Ultimately, Amigo is as much about Iraq and Afghanistan as it is about a century-old chapter of history—and it’s as much about human nature as it is about either era.            To View The Full HD : free movies online for free

Amigo ought to be a great film: the subject is fascinating and still resonates today, even though it takes place over a hundred years ago. The Philippine-American war has been pretty much ignored, by textbook authors as well as moviemakers (but for the 1937 Hollywood movie The Real Glory). As a result, writer-director John Sayles has a lot of information to get across in order for us to get the lay of the land, and understand the central characters and their conflicts.Watch Amigo Movie Online
The setting is the Philippines at the turn of the 20th century, with naïve American soldiers (many of whom have neverleft home before, or had a civilized encounter with someone who isn’t white) forced to invade and “conquer” peaceful villages, while a rebel army plots against them in the dark of the jungle. The title character is the mayor of one such village whose own sibling is a rebel leader. He refuses to betray his brother, but also feels he must appease the American invaders for the sake of the community. It’s a no-win situation.
Filmed in the Philippines, with a local crew and a native superstar (Joel Torre) in the leading role, Amigo tries to present all points of view, as Sayles usually does. But there is a self-conscious sense of “history lesson” hanging over the picture that doesn’t accrue to its benefit. Great moments are offset by heavy-handed ones. There may have been officers as racist and bull-headed as the one played by Chris Cooper, but that doesn’t change the fact that his character comes off as a living cliché.
Garret Dillahunt fares better as the American lieutenant who tries to keep an open mind while winning “the hearts and minds” of the villagers. And the always-interesting D.J. Qualls brings welcome color to his portrayal of a communications specialist.
I have enormous respect for John Sayles, and look forward to reading his new novel, but Amigo is not one of his stronger films. He has allowed his agenda to overtake his normally astute sense of storytelling.         Watch Amigo Movie Online

Philadelphia’s west side, West Philly Grounds is the place to be. There, Claire (Jennifer Love Hewitt) serves wisdom along with coffee and scones. The clientele comes to her with advice in love, life and careers. But even the neighborhood’s favorite gathering place has a dark side. Watch Cafe Movie Online

Kerala Café has ten directors at the helm, each of them making a film of their own on a single theme called yathra or journey.
Kerala Café, for your info, is in fact a modest tea stall at a railway station and certain characters from each of the films are somehow connected to it. It’s a nice concept, perhaps inspired by movies like Paris, je t’aime for instance, but the best thing about it is that the directors have held it together with some excellent ones and some okay efforts.
Among the ten films, it is perhaps Anjali Menon’s Happy Journey that stands out with its intelligent use of the allotted time. A heartening, simple tale has been well told by the director. The film is set inside a bus with an insurance surveyor (Jagathy Sreekumar) with a roving eye, trying to make advances on a pretty girl (Nithya Menon) sitting next to him. But she turns out to be really smart for the man to handle.
Director Anwar Rasheed’s Bridge talks about two parallel tracks, the first one involving a young boy and his pet kitten. The other story has a son (Salim Kumar), who lives in poor surroundings, deciding to leave his ailing mother (Shanthadevi) in the street. With amazing technical brilliance, the director takes things to an altogether different level and stamps his presence quite effectively.
Makal, directed by Revathy, is about the flesh trade which is happening under the guise of adoption. Sona Nair and Sreenath have done the main roles. Some of its situations are predictable, yes, but it has its moments and that hugely works to the film’s advantage.
Puram Kazhchakal, directed by Lal Jose, is based on C V Sreeraman’s book and narrates a bus journey where people of different mindsets, purpose and nature go along for a while. Mammootty and Sreenivasan play the main characters in it. Mammootty looks quite subtle and different from his normal self and as it happens, surprises everyone with the final shot. We start a journey back from then on in our own minds and that is exactly what the film intends to convey.   Watch Cafe Movie Online
The main attraction about director Uday Ananthan’s Mrityunjayam could be its genre, horror. It has some mystery surrounding an old illam and despite the warnings of the tirumeni (Thilakan), a young journalist (Fahadh Faasil) comes there for an investigative story. Anoop Menon, Meera Nandan and Rima Kallingal are also part of the proceedings. There are some loose ends but here is a film that looks different from the rest and catches the viewers’ attention quite easily.      To View The Full HD : free movies online for free
Nostalgia, directed by M.Padmakumar and based on R Venugopal’s poem Nattuvazhikal, zooms in on a typical NRI. Johny (Dileep) is all nostalgic about his motherland when he is in Dubai but once he reaches Kerala, he is an altogether different man, cribbing for virtually everything that comes his way and that sadly includes his parents as well. Navya Nair plays his wife. One gets the feeling that the director has gone for a conventional format to narrate the story here, without going for some cinematic experiments.

Watch Conan the Barbarian movie Free Online

In this new version, Jason Momoa plays the titular barbarian warrior. While his acting isn’t particularly impressive here — he’s much better as Khal Drogo in the HBO series Game of Thrones — his physique and good looks are very impressive, which will go far with the ladies and some men.Watch Conan the Barbarian Movie Online
The plot is straightforward: Conan as a child sees his father murdered and village destroyed, all by the ruthless warlord Khalar Zym.  Fast-forward to sword-swinging, muscle-flexing Conan, who fights men, monsters and dark magic to exact revenge for the events of his childhood.  No doubt Momoa has a promising future as an action hero but he’d be better served by a character with a richer inner life. And like so many other movies heavy on 3-D and CGI-enhanced landscapes and effects, Conan fails to deliver a story and characters that have depth.
The one exception to that criticism is Stephen Lang as Khalar Zym. One of the gifts from Avatar, in which Lang played the hard-as-nails Colonel Quaritch, was putting an incredible character actor like him in such a high-profile film and reminding the world he exists. There’s no question Lange’s Conan the Barbarian character is evil — hell-bent on resurrecting his dead wife, becoming a god and ruling the world — and yet Lang manages to make us feel for him. If the rest of the film matched Lang’s performance, Conan the Barbarian would be one the year’s best. Instead, we’re left with a slightly below average, violent action adventure fantasy flick with a few entertaining sequences.
Conan began life nearly 70 years ago in the pages of the magazine Weird Tales. Before his suicide in 1936 at the age of 30, Howard completed or began more than two dozen Conan stories, 18 of which were published. Of all the mythical heroes he wrote about, including the likes of King Kull and Solomon Kane, Conan was the most popular. In the late 1960s, L. Sprague De Camp and Lin Carter, two established authors who admired Howard’s work, engaged in a massive project to organize and clean-up the existing Conan canon, as well as write new stories to fill in chronological gaps. This resulted in a 12 volume series that has been in print since it hit bookstore shelves in the 1967-68 time period.          Watch Conan the Barbarian Movie Online
Conan the Barbarian is designed to entertain both fans of the Howard stories and those who are unfamiliar with the character. The movie takes place some 12,000 years ago, during a legendary era when magic was real, monsters wandered the land, and the gods occasionally walked the Earth. Borrowing liberally from the official Conan canon, the film chronicles the barbarian’s early years, beginning with the sacking of his village and the murder of his parents, and ending with his vengeance upon his first great enemy. Elements of several Howard stories have made their way into the screenplay (penned by director John Milius and Oliver Stone – yes, that Oliver Stone). Fans will particularly notice similarities to “The Thing in the Crypt”, “The Elephant Tower”, “Queen of the Black Coast”, and “A Witch Shall Be Born.”             To View The Full HD : free movies online for free
Milius’ greatest success with Conan the Barbarian was creating an entirely new and believable world. The settings are spectacular, the special effects are low key but effective, and the costumes and accoutrements have the proper feel for the era. In short, Conan’s land, a lavishly detailed, long-ago place, feels as real as modern-day New York City. It’s the kind of world where high adventure, magical intrigue, and heroic battles can take place without ever threatening our suspension of disbelief. Milius may have made some mistakes in his approach to Conan, but this is not one of them.

Watch Flypaper movie Free Online

Finding a thorough comedic crime-caper is almost as hard as locating a decent hard rock album these days. Meaning the entire production needs to have the ability to entertain & intrigue all the way until the credits roll. Basically, the levels should never drop or deviate from the intended approach.Watch Flypaper Movie Online
The re-whatever “Ocean’s Eleven” franchise found a way to handle that stated criteria, and there’s been a few solid buddy-cop flicks in recent years that hit the right pitch. Even a film such as “Snatch” seamlessly wove in a dry humor within the mild suspense it was portraying. So in comes “Flypaper,” an 87 minute piece that tries to do a little of what all the previous mentioned titles successfully did. And this feature has a shot for the script was penned by the two guys (Jon Lucas & Scott Moore) who are apt to create such an environment as audiences saw in “The Hangover.” Knowing that, director Rob Minkoff compiled a game crew who were ready to give it their all. But can they pull-off the tricky “heist?” (Apparently I just turned into a promo writer)
Flypaper takes place in a large bank where Kaitlin (Ashley Judd) & Madge (Octavia Spencer) work as tellers. Tripp (Patrick Dempsey) strolls in to change-out a hundred dollar bill and asks Kaitlin to break-up it using only coin currency and to sort the coins based on prime numbers. While the simple inquisitive & perceptive guy is analyzing the soon-to-be married teller, he surveys the people coming into the bank and alerts them that they’re about to be robbed. And sure enough – much to the dismay of bank president Gordon Blythe (Jeffrey Tambor) – he’s correct.
However, the bank is getting robbed by two separate crews at the same time. One group (Mekhi Phifer, John Ventimiglia, Matt Ryan) wielding machine and hi-tech gear are going after the vault. The other team, or duo – who enter the premises looking like white-trash hillbilly gangsters (or southern heavy metal fans) – stake claim to the ATM’s. The latter’s code names: Peanut Butter (Tim Blake Nelson) & Jelly (Pruit Taylor Vince). After a standoff ensues between both sets of felons, a suspicious looking man (Eddie Matthews) is shot during the exchange of bullets. Tripp interjects with his unusual intellect between the two crews, for the odds of having two robberies hitting the same bank at the same time perplexes him greatly; and since he’s off his medication (literally), he must find out why things are unfolding the way they are. This drives both crews – and the six or seven hostages – crazy. Yet they all slowly realize…the hyper guy does have a point.           Watch Flypaper Movie Online
If one understands what the forthcoming sentence translates to, then they can stop reading the review and know exactly what they’re getting with this flick: This is just like the board game – and 1985 movie – “Clue.” Everyone is a suspect and the dialogue between all the parties is witty and light even though the “seriousness” of the situation is always present. Flypaper is a mystery that will get you laughing all while you constantly think about the endgame. And the endgame and/or result are well-hidden for the most part. Even if you can figure it out, chances you had to go back-and-forth a few times before assuring yourself of your accusation (just like the Clue game).           To View The Full HD : free movies online for free
The fun lies in letting Patrick Dempsey’s in-his-own-world character take you on a ride as he interacts with anyone and everyone. In this type of plot, it’s hard to find someone better than Dempsey to keep the shenanigans moving along all while not winking at the audience. Once he ushers in the playful tone, the rest of the cast is amazingly given ample to time for the audience to get to know, which therefore, enhances the comedy. Just picture the majority of the cast doing an elaborate Improv sketch where everyone is playing off each other’s unique persona.

Watch Fright Night movie Free Online

On the surface, Fright Night has a number of strikes going against it. It’s a remake. It’s in 3-D. The original is loved by fans and unknown to the general public – meaning that its name brand value is low, and those who love the original are probably going to be annoyed. but to make it they assembled a great cast (including Colin Farrell and Anton Yelchin), and they had a good starting point. It would be nice to say that the film overcomes those obstacles, but – though there are some nice touches here and there – it doesn’t work.  Watch Fright Night Movie Online
Charlie Brewster (Yelchin) is dating hot girl Amy (Poots), and lives with his single mom Jane (Collette) in Las Vegas. They live next door to Jerry Dandridge (Farrell), who says he’s a construction worker, and comes across as a bull-headed straight guy who’s obviously pretty hot. Charlie’s been ducking old friend “Evil” Ed (Mintz-Plasse), but is bribed into doing some investigating with him, as Ed thinks Jerry’s a vampire. When Ed goes missing, Charlie feels guilty enough to check on his neighbor, and there Charlie discovers his neighbor is a vampire. He goes to Peter Vincent (Tenant) to get some help. Vincent is a A-list magician with an interest in the occult. But now Charlie is on Jerry’s radar, and that’s a bad place to be.
he Remake Factor: The original followed a young boy who’s about to lose his virginity when he’s distracted by two men moving in next door (and may be distracted in that way). What follows is a very smart B movie that then puts Peter Vincent – a cinematic vampire hunter – into a situation where he’s confronted with the real thing. It’s well worth checking out. But when this film tries to work in those details, it doesn’t know how to. Here Peter Vincent is a magician, and though it would be impossible to replicate a horror movie host in modern times, why Charlie goes to a stage magician he doesn’t even like for advice is thin. And then how it brings Vincent in for the third act is even thinner and adds a plot point that could be removed and change nothing. There are numerous other examples of this. Like…          Watch Fright Night Movie Online
Evil Ed and Charlie Brewster: The starting point for their relationship is great. Brewster’s gone on to be a part of the popular kid set, while Ed’s a loser. In the original they were friends who playfully mocked each other (though there was an underlying tension there). With their relationship over, it’s Ed who tips off Charlie about his neighbor the vampire. But though it’s understandable that Charlie would want nothing to do with “Evil” Ed, it starts the film with a protagonist being mean to the one person who is right. And then later it’s revealed his girlfriend likes him because he’s a geek, so he ended that friendship for the wrong reasons. And then later, when Ed and Charlie confront each other under different circumstances it doesn’t pay off. So you’re left with a lot of things that seem to be in there because of the original – but don’t work on their own terms – on top of a main character who’s not very empathetic in terms of the narrative.             To View The Full HD : free movies online for free

Watch Griff the Invisible movie Free Online

Sure, it’s fun watching the DC and Marvel men run around with their massive biceps, annihilating villains with otherworldly powers and weapons, but it’s Hollywood’s obsession with the surreal that makes a more modest superhero production like Griff the Invisible all the more appealing. No, Griff doesn’t fly, crush monsters or become invisible for that matter, but the guy is able to use his lack of extraordinary abilities to more impressively sway us with the ordinary.Watch Griff the Invisible Movie Online
Griff’s (Ryan Kwanten) got it rough. Not only is he stuck at a desk all day, but he’s also the office recluse. When he’s not hiding out in his cubicle or getting picked on by office bully, Tony (Toby Schmitz), Griff’s at home monitoring his high tech computer system and radars, keeping an eye on the area for any criminal activity. Why? Because when Griff’s not at work, he’s the superhero Griff the Invisible.
Well, actually, he’s not invisible just yet, but he does have a slew of the traditional superhero goodies like a killer costume and some wicked battle skills. Problem is, his identity isn’t really a secret. His brother, Tim (Patrick Brammall), knows what he’s up to and, thanks to the problems Griff’s moonlighting habits caused in the past, he doesn’t think it’s a particularly healthy side job. However, in Tim’s effort to nudge Griff in a more “normal” direction, he winds up introducing him to one of few people who not only accepts Griff for who he is, but encourages it, Melody (Maeve Dermody).
No, there aren’t as many wannabe superhero movies as there are Marvel and DC CGI adventures, but recently, we’ve seen more than ever, with Kick-Ass, Defendor and Super all arriving in the last year. So now, the question is, does Griff offer a fresh take on the sub-genre? Yes. Does it work? Not entirely.
Griff’s innovation comes from the uncertainty of what Griff’s really capable of. Sure, he rocks a seemingly authentic costume and appears to be able to handle himself in a fight, but there’s also quite a bit to suggest that Griff isn’t as professional as he seems. Ford does a fantastic job of introducing us to our main man and making him instantly worthy of our sympathy. It’s this connection that not only holds your attention from beginning to end, but makes the viewer invested in the experience.         Watch Griff the Invisible Movie Online
From there, Ford compels you to maintain that connection by dissecting Griff, layer by layer. Griff experiences an intense character arc, as not only does he change extensively from beginning to end, but the audience’s perspective of him changes, too. A prime element to this shift is how much credit Ford gives his audience. Griff’s growth isn’t spoon-fed in the least; in fact, Ford often leaves it to the viewer to discover the truth in a moment, a tactic that could leave several plot points up for debate, but one that also makes Griff the Invisible an interactive experience, as it requires the audience to think.
Kwanten also deserves a great deal of credit, as he’s able to have fun with the character while keeping control of Griff’s transformation. Griff is the kind of guy who forces you to consider every facial twist, sigh and stare in an effort to figure him out. Kwanten’s performance suggests he has a concrete understanding of who Griff is and 110% gives himself to the role.        To View The Full HD : free movies online for free

Watch The Hedgehog movie Free Online

I’m sure it must be a major challenge to turn Muriel Barbery’s The Elegance of the Hedgehog into a movie.  I admire director/screenwriter Mona Achache’s courage.    Watch The Hedgehog Movie Online
She has taken up a tall order to make her full feature directorial debut.  How do you deal with all the ubiquitous internal dialogues, philosophical ruminations, literary allusions, and turn the story that takes place inside a Paris apartment into a full length film, holding viewers’ attention for 100 minutes?  Overall, Achache has done well on a formidable task… including building the set, the whole luxury apartment façade from scratch, from the workable old-style elevator to the cast iron gate in the front entrance.
In the film, we look at things from 11 years-old Paloma’s point of view, for she is constantly video-taping the people and the happenings both in her own suite and those in her apartment building.  She intends to produce some sort of a visual philosophical treatise, her legacy, as she plans to take her own life on her 12th birthday.  This is a clever alteration, shooting video instead of writing a journal, for the visual effects.   We see a very intelligent girl (Garance le Guillermic), having concluded that life is utterly absurd, decides not to spend her life in a fishbowl as everyone else. With her artistic talents, Paloma has used her drawings as a kind of personal record-keeping; from her point of view, some delightful animations are added to enhance the appeal of the film. Paloma is an interesting and amiable character that ironically brightens up the film with some humorous deadpan takes.
The movie is an abridged and simplified version of the book, that is expected.  But while it has some stylish manoeuvring in presenting the story, I’m disappointed that the crux of the premise has not been focused upon. My major concern then, must turn to the other character.  The main speaker of the book is Madame Michel, Renée, the 54 year-old autodidact, the concierge of the luxury apartment.  Yes, we see her outward appearance following exactly what the book has described:
Josiane Balasko has put on a meticulous performance as Madame Michel, a bit too much even, for her grumpy persona has hidden all humor the character could have diffused, as the book has rendered.  But other than the faithful characterization on the surface, it is more important that the inner world, the clandestine and ignored persona of Renée be depicted.  What makes the book so appealing is Renée’s inner quest, not only for intellectual ideals (yes we see her reading and her secret library in the film), but her appreciation of art as a form of transcendence, her search for beauty in the mundane, her ability to seize the moment of permanence in the temporal, as Barbery has written: “pure beauty at the heart of ephemeral passion”.  It is such wisdom that Paloma finally realizes, and which changes her mind about suicide.  This crucial theme is not shown in the movie, and I count that as a major deficit, despite the conscientious effort in following the outward details of the book.

Watch The Last Circus movie Free Online

The prologue for Alex de la Iglesia‘s new film, “The Last Circus,” which premiered at last year’s Venice Film Festival but is just now making its debut on American shores,Watch The Last Circus Movie Online a kicky, grindhouse shock about a traveling circus interrupted by rebels who recruit the performers to participate in the burgeoning Civil War. The show’s lead clown (Santiago Segura) is handed a machete and forced to stay in his whimsical, gender-bending costume, since the rebel leader says it will scare the shit out of the enemy. And, for whole minutes, we watch as the clown grittily slices and dices members of Franco’s fascist army. After the “happy clown” has been captured and interred in a mine, we see him have a conversation with his young son. His father tells him to keep up the clown tradition of his family, but instead of a happy clown, he’ll be a sad clown. Then, in a tragic/comic moment, his father gets trampled to death by a horse and the son ends up maiming a colonel.
If you get a certain sense of déjà vu from these early sequences, what with the Civil War setting and the mixture of grim reality and occasionally-even-grimmer fantasy, it’s certainly reasonable to draw parallels to the smaller scale work of director Guillermo del Toro, whose “Pan’s Labyrinth” and “The Devil’s Backbone” were both set in that period and defined largely by a mixture of the literal and fantastical. But a bigger clue to the film’s touchstones may be the film’s propulsive title sequence, which is equal parts Sergio Leone and Famous Monsters of Filmland.
As a strumming soundtrack hums, we see images of the Civil War play out against pop culture moments from the same timeframe – things like people doing the Twist, and frequently, flashes of movie monsters of the time such as Frankenstein and Dracula. The Universal monster parallels become clearer later on, but the opening sequence provides just the right amount of context.          Watch The Last Circus Movie Online
The film proper opens in 1970, near the end of Franco’s reign, with the happy clown’s son, Javier (Carlos Areces), now a grown (and chubby) man. He’s interviewing for a ragtag circus troupe that brings to mind the films of both Federico Fellini and Jean-Pierre Jeunet. The problem, of course, is that the circus is being led by a “happy clown” named Sergio (Antonio de la Torre), a sadistic bastard whose big introduction is the delivery of a horrifyingly off-color joke about a dead baby. Adding further complications, and lending the appropriate amount of apocalyptic gloom to a movie called “The Last Circus,” is the fact that Javier is in love with Natalia (Carolina Bang), the circus’ gorgeous acrobat who is engaged in an uneasily tempestuous, abusive relationship with Sergio.
Never content to follow a single narrative path for too long, “The Last Circus” veers this way and that, but really lets its intentions be known when Javier, in a misplaced go at chivalry, brutally disfigures Sergio and is forced to go on the run, literally turning into an animal that lives in the forest, scavenging for food. After he runs afoul of Colonel Salcedo (Sancho Gracia), the military man responsible for his father’s death (who Javier critically wounded), Javier all but loses his mind – he chemically bleaches his skin, mutilates his cheeks in an attempt at permanent makeup, and jaggedly crafts clown clothes out of religious garments, seeking revenge on both Sergio, for what Javier perceives as his injustices against Natalia and the circus, and society at large (a horrifying clown, packing two large machine , is an uncomfortable image to say the least).         To View The Full HD : free movies online for free

Watch Mozart's Sister movie Free Online

It’s hard to watch René Féret’s historical drama Mozart’s Sister without thinking of the Oscar-winning 1984 biopic Amadeus, which uses Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as a springboard to consider the sad case of those who can recognize genius, but can’t replicate it. Mozart’s Watch Mozart’s Sister Movie Online
Sister, meanwhile, uses the composer’s life as a springboard to study the lot of European women in the 18th century. As a girl, Maria Anna Mozart performed for royalty alongside her younger brother and even composed her own music, just like Wolfgang. But as Maria—nicknamed “Nannerl”—grew into adolescence, her parents steered her toward meeting a nice, rich man and becoming a wife and mother.
Féret’s daughter Marie plays Nannerl, a 15-year-old with the sense of maturity and gawkiness common to adolescents, no matter the era. Mozart’s Sister is largely concerned with Nannerl’s friendships with two of Louis XV’s children: the 13-year-old Louise de France, whom she meets in an abbey, and the Dauphin, with whom she shares her passion for composition. Unlike the king’s family, who never get to see each other, Nannerl spends nearly 24 hours a day cooped up with her brother and her parents in such close quarters that they can’t keep secrets. Contrast that with Louise, who shows Nannerl a hidden book listing practices banned by the church (“described indecently”), and to the Dauphin, who whispers anecdotes about his father’s infidelity.
Féret is very much concerned with these characters’ earthy everyday lives. One of the first shots of the film is of Nannerl urinating in the snow, and later we see her watching her parents have , and listening to her mother use a bidet for the first time. The movie also deals with the economic realities of the Mozart family, who travel in high society, but receive only trinkets as payment for their concerts. What’s missing from Mozart’s Sister, though, is the kind of fervor that made Amadeus so memorable. Féret’s film looks lovely, is acted well, and successfully humanizes famous folk from long ago. (Marc Barbé is especially effective as Léopold Mozart, who cruelly tells his daughter that she hasn’t the brain to write music, yet also plays his violin sweetly for her when she’s sick.) But when Nannerl tells her father, “I hear notes, my own notes, in my head, but I don’t know how to write them down,” her words are an indictment of a society that marginalizes women, but not deeply moving as a personal plea.       Watch Mozart’s Sister Movie Online
What makes a parent encourage one child’s talent and squelch another’s? In the case of Maria Anna “Nannerl” Mozart, the reason for her discouragement was simple: gender. Given that she was the older sibling of one of the world’s most cherished creative geniuses, that makes her a powerful emblem of extinguished female gifts, and as a result the subject of a number of fictional musings.
The latest of these, writer-director René Féret’s richly imagined Mozart’s Sister, is a handsome and achingly sad period piece, a finely observed portrait of cast-aside dreams. The drama is quieter and more chaste than the similarly themed Camille Claudel, but no less haunting. Word of mouth will be strong for this art-house release.             To View The Full HD : free movies online for free
Mozart’s Sister is a family affair on two levels. Féret’s wife is his editor, his son his assistant director, and he has cast his daughters in two key roles (for which they’re exceptionally well suited). Onscreen, one of the fascinating elements of the story is its depiction of the dynamics of a family that spends most of its time on the road: the shared rooms, the intimacies both lighthearted and discomforting, and, for a prodigy born female in 18th-century Europe, the nuclear unit as refuge and trap.

Watch Programming the Nation? movie Free Online

It’s tough to keep track of everything Jeff Warrick’s subliminal-advertising documentary Programming The Nation? does wrong. First off, it looks cheesy: a little like a corporate training tape, with low-quality video and goofy visual effects. Then Warrick takes a smarmy Michael Moore-style first-person approach to his narration, making what should be a serious inquiry into the existence and effectiveness of subliminal advertising unnecessarily personal. Watch Programming the Nation? Movie Online

He even starts the movie with images of the World Trade Center collapsing, saying that in the wake of 9/11, “I felt compelled to take a long, hard look around me,” and adding, “I couldn’t help but wonder if we were all being brainwashed.” Warrick goes on to suggest that manipulation and mind-control may be at the roots of our recent economic woes. In other words: Warrick is mounting a huge case here, with no less than our freedom on the line.
What’s most frustrating about Programming The Nation? is that the topic is fascinating, and it hasn’t been dealt with extensively in documentary form. During some stretches, Warrick tells the story well, getting into the history of mass manipulation, from the subtle propaganda tactics of Edward Bernays to the “black boxes” that pipe anti-shoplifting messages into department stores. Warrick also points out that some of the most famous cases of subliminal messaging—like the anecdote about the theater owner who boosted concession sales with flash frames of popcorn and Coke, or the backward-masking on rock ’n’ roll albums—are either overblown, hoaxes, or just plain bogus.    Watch Programming the Nation? Yet because Warrick couldn’t get anyone from the advertising world to talk to him, his interview subjects tend to be left-wing politicians (mainly angry at Bush-administration warmongering), conspiracy theorists, and for some reason, Queensrÿche lead singer Geoff Tate. And though Programming The Nation? acknowledges that the human mind tends to see patterns where none exist—be it the word “” in a picture of an ice cube or Robert Plant chanting “Here’s to my sweet Satan” when “Stairway To Heaven” is played backward—the movie presses forward with what      To View The Full HD : free movies online for free
Warrick calls “an expanded definition of subliminal messaging,” which includes common motion-picture foley effects, product placement, and just about any attempt to influence or agitate with pictures and sound. But if Warrick means to demonize anyone who uses the media to persuade, what’s it supposed to mean when Programming The Nation? inserts ominous music under images of children watching TV? That it’s okay to spread bullshit if you mean well?

Watch Bellflower movie Online Free

Watch Bellflower Movie OnlineJust got out of the screening of this movie at the Independent Film Fest of Boston. Bellflower is a visually stunning movie and is sure to make help make the career of the star/director and a few other members of the supporting cast.
The basic premise is that two friends decide to future-proof themselves by creating weaponry designed for ruling a potential post-apocalyptic wasteland. They figure that if Mad Max has taught us anything it is that whoever has the most badass weapons will end up on top.
Evan Glodell, Jessie Wiseman, Tyler Dawson and Rebekah Brandes turn in impressive performances. I am sure that we will be seeing plenty of Jessie Wiseman. The film was shot on handmade cameras that the director built which allowed him to create amazing tilt-shift visuals. All of the gadgets featured in the film were also built by the director for the movie. Filming happened over the course of 3 years on a meager budget of only $17,000, an amazing feat.
If this movie is playing at a local festival you need to go see it ASAP. I’m pretty sure that there will be plenty of buzz surrounding the film once it gets a wider release. Woodrow (Evan Glodell) and Aiden (Tyler Dawson) could be considered ‘passionate’ about the apocalypse. They spend all their free time building steam punk flame throwers and a muscle car that would make The Road Warrior salivate. Their vision as ruling mongols of the charred post-nuclear plain serves as the only non-hedonistic motivation of any character in the film. Interspersed between, or more accurately, continually throughout the film, they indulge in drink, drugs and damaged women with an almost childlike disregard for consequences. When Woodrow meets Milly (Jesse Wiseman) at a party, it seems he may have found something to care about and, after an impromptu weeklong date to a Texas roadhouse, they begin a relationship.                Watch Bellflower Movie Online
Lives proceed and, true to Milly’s prediction, she cheats on Woodrow. In a fury he jumps on his motorcycle and is promptly hit by a car, leaving him scarred and minimally brain damaged. Aiden suggests that they burn all her possessions left at Woodrow’s, which then sets off two possible realities. (Spoiler Alert) One reality, shows Woodrow giving into his more animalistic and vengeful desires, causing the loss of everything, including his good looks, his friends and his humanity, but allows him to keep Milly. The second shows him letting her go, and living life as planned with Aiden. The pair as drunken, nihilistic outlaws in their self made desert utopia. Woodrow can either participate in the apocalypse as he has envisioned and planned for, or he can bring around the end of the world for all those around him on a micro, but much more affecting scale. (End Spoiler)
The question is asked, “What (or who) would you give up for the only thing you really care about?”
To begin, the film is utterly mesmerizing in it’s visual aspects. Writer, director, and lead actor Evan Glodell’s background is in cinematography so this comes as no surprise. Every scene captures the grime and intensity of it’s subject despite its shortcomings in editing, clarity of story and sound.

Great story about two Major League Pitiching prospects in the Dominican Republic. Change Up offer’s the viewer a great snapshot not only into the trials of young ballplayers in the DR trying to get out of the DR, but also focuses on the driving force behind their desired exodus; providing for their families. As a baseball fan I found the movie very interesting as it portrays these off-shore prospects as fair game to the highest bidder. Watch The Change-Up Movie Online

Unfortunately, the reality is that for most, baseball remains just a game through little league, and for these teenagers quickly becomes the business of survival. As I found myself interested in the Baseball aspects, I caught my wife teary-eyed and focused on the human-side of the story, which the director’s seamlessly integrate into the Baseball bravado. This movie offers the grit of ‘Hoop Dreams’ and the humanity of ‘When We Were Kings’, the viewer finds themself rooting for the young men to achieve their dreams.
As a baseball I have been waiting for a view of the stories behind the game. Change Up offers a gritty look into what it takes to follow a dream of being a Major League pitcher. Many in America do not see what a difficult road it is for the Dominican Republic baseball players to make it to the Big Leagues. Change Up offers that insight. You cannot help but cheer for these two players in this compelling and heart wrenching cinematic work.
If you are a baseball fan or just love a good “real life” story I highly recommend “Change Up”. I look forward to seeing it on the major sport channels where it should be rightly shown for a wider audience.
I sat down to quickly view Change Up and found myself wishing for more after the 46 minutes had ended. In Change Up, we are given entry into the world of the Dominican Republic and are witness to the pressures put on talented young athletes to rescue their families out of poverty and squalor. The film focuses on two teenage baseball players as they attempt to rise above the rest of the talent pool in the DR and earn their tickets to the U.S. and hopefully a spot on a major league baseball roster. While the baseball footage and facts looked right out of ESPN, the story of best friends and their struggles to get a major league contract was the real treat. The two young men displayed such a will to please not only themselves, but also their families and agents.                Watch The Change-Up Movie Online
As they traversed this arduous journey they counted on each other for help and support. The story pulls you in and you find yourself talking to the screen in hopes of convincing a scout to sign these young men and bring them to the U.S. The story that unravels is both harsh and heartwarming and must be seen in order to be truly enjoyed. I look forward to the next installment from the makers of Change Up.

Watch Hugo Free Online movie Megavideo

Watch Hugo Movie Online
Judging from the range of comments on Hugo Pool they seem to run the gamut. As a film, it's not the kind of thing I'd usually watch, but it did contain some rather strange characters.

Alyssa Milano in between her stints as Tony Danza's daughter in Who's The Boss and one of the Halliwell sisters in Charmed was cast in the lead by director Robert Downey, Sr. She seems to have taken complete charge of the pool cleaning company that is a family business because dad (Malcolm McDowell) is reverting to being a teenager and mom (Cathy Moriarty) can't control her gambling addiction. In fact she either has to come up with the money or sleep with the bookie.

Anyway somebody has to step up to the plate and Alyssa seems the only one likely to do so. She's got a lot of customers out there in Nevada who want to use their swimming pools because of the heat and who need them cleaned.

Anyway on her route she meets Patrick Dempsey who even with Lou Gehrig's disease is not about to miss out on all the good things in life. In fact one of only two parts of his anatomy are untouched by amytrophic lateral sclerosis, his brain and the love muscle. In fact the second has some remarkable staying power as he informs us.

Hugo Pool is the story of all these characters and the day they spend together. It's an interesting tale and maybe had it been done in a more straightforward and romantic way, I might have liked the film better.

Still it's not the fault of the cast who give some very good performances. Not mentioned by me before are Robert Downey, Jr. as an egotistical movie director and Sean Penn as a hitchhiker Malcolm McDowell picks up. Dig those sky blue shoes that Penn wears.

Hugo Pool might be your cup of tea, it wasn't quite mine though. This is a little babe of a movie, the kind that comes on at 1 am and you can't turn it off. Very inventive casting. McDowell and Penn are delightful as are Moriority and Milano. Then, you also have Downey, Jr, Dempsey, and Lewis (AND Chuck Barris). A zany cast of "characters"! I was impressed with how handily Milano carried herself and led this cast.

I'm generally not a fan of Robert Downey Senior's movies. His characters tend to be cartoons and his episodic style means that we seem to be watching a series of "Saturday Night" comedy sketches. "Hugo Pool" has enough great actors in it that all the usual faults are turned into virtues. It also has a sweetness and heart that I haven't seen in any other Downey film.

The film is dedicated to Downey's wife and co-writer Laura Ernst. She died of the same terrible disease that the character played by Patrick Dempsey has. It is amazing how Downey shows the disease, but never lets us get sentimental over it or be afraid of it. It is just one more comic element in the film. I hope Laura coped with it as well as Patrick Dempsey's character does.

The stand out performance here is by Malcolm McDowell. His portrayal of an old drug addict trying to kick the "Ding, Dang, Du" is charming and funny and sad all at once. The only unfortunate thing is that he's only on screen for about 20 minutes.

I think the harsher criticisms of this film are by people who expected a more realistic, integrated film. If you willing to give Downey his quirky style, this film is sweet and delightful. I have to admit, as I watched the movie, my expectations haven't been met. Most of all, I expected a plot. Since most movies have one, at least to some degree, the `average' watcher tends to expect one here, too. But, it didn't take me long, until I realized that this movie wasn't the `average' movie, and I don't mean that in a bad way.      Watch Hugo Movie Online

In the first scene where Hugo's father was introduced, I began to realize what the character of this movie is like. This perception strengthened as more and more people showed up and exhibited their unorthodox, quirky features. Alone the weird things like `a stranger is sleeping in somebody else's truck, then the owner shows up, asks no questions and they both hit the road without even wasting a thought about what this is all about' made me laugh. The dialogs between the characters and the spontaneous and almost unreasonable turns of the plot make the movie special. It is hard to explain to someone who hasn't watched it.

Read the other comments and you'll find the opinions range from real bad to gorgeous. My advice is, be open-minded. This is not the average movie - in many aspects. Don't have too high expectations and you won't be disappointed, this movie is no blockbuster but it sure can be very entertaining if you give it a chance.

Our Idiot Brother is a 2011 film directed by Jesse Peretz and starring Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel, and Emily Mortimer. The script was written by Evegenia Peretz and David Schisgall based on Jesse and Evgenia Peretz’s story, and tells of an idealistic man who intrudes and wreaks havoc in each of his three sisters’ lives.
The film was co-produced by Anthony Bregman, Peter Saraf and Marc Turtletaub, and came into production unusually quickly for an independent film; principal photography had ended less than four months after the script was picked up by the producers. Filming took place over six weeks, primarily in various parts of New York City. The film premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and is scheduled for a theatrical release in 2011

Ned (Rudd) is a well-meaning idealist who has just been released from prison for dealing cannabis. In succession, he disrupts the lives and homes of his three sisters: career-driven Miranda (Banks), who is about to get her big break in journalism; hipster Natalie (Deschanel), whose lies are preventing her from moving forward with her responsible girlfriend Cindy (Rashida Jones); and Liz (Mortimer), who is too concerned with being the perfect mother to notice that her marriage is falling apart
The story of Our Idiot Brother was conceived by Jesse Peretz and his sister Evgenia, who had written a screenplay together before but were unable to finance the project. They greatly enjoyed working together though, so they decided to draft another story, this time “a bit more commercial” and with characters in their 30s.
They planned to cast actors with whom Peretz was already friends, and created the main character with Paul Rudd in mind. The script itself was written by Evgenia Peretz and her husband David Schisgall, and was completed by December 2009 under the original title of My Idiot Brothe

Movie: Special Treatment
Release Date:   26 August 2011 (USA)
Directors: Jeanne Labrune
Writers:Richard Debuisne, Jeanne Labrune
Genres:  Comedy | Drama
Drawing some intriguing parallels between the work of the prostitute and that of the psychiatrist-both have clients, both charge for sessions, both take on roles that serve the needs, psychological or otherwise, of those they serve, Jeanne Labrune’s drama stars Isabelle Huppert and Bouli Lanners as, respectively, Alice, a disaffected call girl and Xavier, a shrink with a crumbling domestic situation. With more talked about than shown, the film is filled with pointed dialogue and double entendres
Alice Bergerac (Isabelle Huppert) is a upper-class prostitute who ‘specialises’ in role playing for businessmen in order to pay for certain antique items she enjoys collecting. Xavier Demestre (Bouli Lanners) is an uptight, angry psychoanalyst whose marriage is falling apart. These two end up crossing paths, and changing each others lives for the better. What appears to be a very promising film about the relationship between psychoanalysis and prostitution ends up being very underwhelming and unsure of itself.
The similarities drawn between the two professions are not subtle, with the patient/client interactions and payment methods all much the same. The performances in these scenes, and generally across the board are fantastic. Huppert is particularly good, especially in the second half as we witness her question her career and future. It is the characterisation and story that are the weak points, as there are many sub-plots and characters throughout, all of which could have been taken fascinating directions, but none feel fleshed out or even completed. The film ends in a very conventional manner, and by this time it feels like we have seen a series of disjointed scenes rather than a proper film.

Unfortunately, there are many good ideas here, and technically the film is fantastic. The score creates an interesting, almost menacing atmosphere throughout, and the film is shot beautifully, but there is not enough story for this movie to be anything other than a bit above average.
The year 2011 is notable for containing the release of the most film sequels in a single year, at 27 sequels. The following tables list films that are in production or have completed production and will be released in the United States and Canada at some point in 2011.

A pregnant woman kidnaps a man who has done her wrong and makes him confess to his sins. From the director of Cavite (Independent Spirit Award winner) starring Long Nguyen (Journey from the Fall, Heaven and Earth) and Quynn Ton comes a movie about a bow, a wheelchair and a fireplace. The Name of the Rose is the first novel by Italian author Umberto Eco. It is a historical murder mystery set in an Italian monastery in the year 1327, an intellectual mystery combining semiotics in fiction, biblical analysis, medieval studies and literary theory. First published in Italian in 1980 under the title Il nome della rosa, it appeared in English in 1983, translated by William Weaver.
Franciscan friar William of Baskerville and a Benedictine novice Adso of Melk travel to a Benedictine monastery in Northern Italy to attend a theological disputation. As they arrive, the monastery is disturbed by a suicide. As the plot unfolds, several other monks die, some clearly murdered, under mysterious circumstances. William is tasked by the Abbot of the monastery to investigate the deaths, and new experiences also unfold. The protagonists explore a labyrinthine medieval library, discuss the subversive power of laughter, and come face to face with the Inquisition. William’s innate curiosity and highly-developed powers of logic and deduction provide the keys to unravelling the mysteries of the abbey.
Watch Circumstance Movie Online
On one level, the book is an exposition of the scholastic method which was very popular in the 14th century. William demonstrates the power of deductive reasoning, especially syllogisms. He refuses to accept the diagnosis of simple demonic possession despite demonology being the traditional monastic explanation. Although the abbey is under the apprehension that they are experiencing the last days before the coming of Antichrist (a topic closely examined in the book), William, through his empirical mindset, manages to show that the murders are, in fact, committed by a more corporeal instrument. By keeping an open mind, collecting facts and observations, following pure intuition, and the dialectic method, he makes decisions as to what he should investigate, exactly as a scholastic would do.
However, the simple use of reason does not suffice. The various signs and happenings only have meaning in their given contexts, and William must constantly be wary of the contexts within which he interprets the mystery. Indeed, the entire story challenges the narrator, William’s young apprentice Adso, and the reader to continually recognize the context he is using to interpret, bringing the whole text to various levels which can all have different hermeneutical meanings. The narrative ties in many varied plot lines, all of which consider various interpretations and sources of meanings.

Sally Farnham and her husband Alex inherit an old mansion from Sally’s recently deceased grandmother. Shortly after moving in, she discovers a bricked-up fireplace in the basement den, and asks the estate’s handyman, Mr. Harris, about it. He tells her that Sally’s grandmother had him seal it up after her grandfather died and that it is better to leave it the way it is. After he leaves for the day and Sally is alone in the room, she uses some of Mr. Harris’ tools to try and remove the bricks herself. She is unable to budge the bricks, but is able to prise open a small side door that Mr. Harris had said was used for removing ashes from the fireplace. Inside is not a fireplace at all but a large, dark, deep sub-basement. As Sally leaves the den, several whispering voices are heard coming from behind the fireplace, calling her name.
Sally soon begins to feel unsettled in the house. One night while sleeping, she is woken by voices whispering her name, and an ashtray mysteriously falls off her bedside cabinet. However Alex dismisses her concerns and believes she is suffering from nervous tension. The next evening, when she is alone in the house, something grabs her dress as she is walking down the stairs and she hears voices whispering “We want you”. She manages to free herself and sees something scuttling away behind a curtain, which she believes was a small animal of some kind. Soon afterwards, she hears the same whispering coming from behind the fireplace in the basement den. When Alex returns home, he remains unconvinced of her story, but makes sure the fireplace is bolted securely shut to reassure her.

The following night, Sally throws a dinner party for Alex’s work colleagues as he is up for partnership at his law firm. During the party, Sally sees a small, hideous goblin-like creature near her leg under the dinner table. She screams, but nobody believes what she saw as the creature quickly vanishes. Alex grows impatient with her and thinks she is becoming delusional. Later, while Sally is in the shower, three of the goblin creatures make their way into the bathroom and turn out the lights so that they can attack her with a razor. As Sally turns the light back on, the creatures shriek and retreat from the brightness into the bathroom cupboards where they disappear. Sally then tells Alex that they should sell the house.
The following day, Alex goes away on business and Sally arranges to go and stay with her friend Joan. However, before she goes, the creatures attempt to trip Sally down a flight of stairs, but they accidentally cause the death of her interior decorator instead. Sally tries to confront the creatures and asks them what they want, to which they reply they want her spirit as whoever frees them (as Sally did by opening the fireplace) must become one of them.
